Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-07-06.
This policy explains what personal data Dreamware Audio(“Dreamware”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the GDPR and similar laws. We are the data controller for the processing described here.
1. Who we are
Dreamware Audio is an independent audio-software company (the Orbit-1 and Detuna plugins) operating the website dreamware.audio, based at 73320 Tignes, France (SIRET 819 503 467 00014). For any privacy question or request, contact support@dreamware.audio.
2. Data we collect
- Account data - your name and email when you sign in (email code, or Google / Apple / Discord) or buy a product, plus a profile image if your sign-in provider supplies one.
- Purchase data - order and licence information. The payment itself is handled by Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record); we do not receive or store your full card details.
- Activation data - to enforce the machine limit we store hashed machine identifiers, the machine name and OS you provide, and activation timestamps. We do not store raw hardware IDs, and IP addresses in our logs are masked.
- Support data - the content of emails and messages you send us.
- Creator-outreach data - for creators we contact or who apply to our program, we store public profile details (handle, platform, follower counts) and our conversations with them.
- Usage & marketing data - limited analytics and, with your consent, advertising-measurement data (see §5, Cookies).
3. On-device AI - what we do NOT collect
Orbit-1’s preset generator runs as an AI model locally on your computer. Your prompts and the presets it generates stay on your machine - they are not transmitted to us or to any third party.
4. Instagram / Meta data
When you message our Instagram business account, our internal CRM uses the Meta Instagram Messaging API to receive and display those messages so our team can reply and track the conversation. Through this integration we may process:
- your Instagram username and account identifier;
- the content and timestamps of messages you send to us;
- public profile information returned by the API.
We use this data only to manage our own conversations with you (support and creator partnerships). We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
5. Cookies & tracking
We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in, and - only with your consent - analytics and advertising-measurement pixels (Meta, TikTok) to understand how our marketing performs. You can review and control these on our Cookie Policy page.
6. Why we use it & legal bases
- Contract - to create your account, deliver purchases, run licence activation and provide support.
- Legal obligation - to keep accounting and tax records.
- Legitimate interests - to secure our services, prevent fraud and licence abuse, and manage creator partnerships.
- Consent - for marketing emails and advertising / analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.
7. Third-party processors
We share data only with providers that help us operate, each under their own privacy terms and only to provide their service to us:
- Lemon Squeezy - payments, invoicing and tax (merchant of record);
- Vercel - website hosting; Neon - database; Cloudflare - installer downloads;
- Resend - transactional and account emails;
- Google, Apple, Discord - optional sign-in;
- Meta and TikTok - Instagram messaging and, with consent, advertising measurement.
8. International transfers
Some of these providers are located in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism offered by the provider.
9. How long we keep it
- account & licence data - while your account is active;
- purchase invoices - up to 10 years, as required by French accounting/tax law;
- support correspondence - around 2 years after last contact;
- marketing-consent data - until you withdraw consent or after a period of inactivity;
- outreach conversation data - while a partnership is active, and removed on request.
10. Security
Data is stored in access-controlled databases hosted by our providers. Administrative tools are restricted to authorised Dreamware staff, and access tokens for third-party APIs are encrypted and never exposed publicly.
11. Your rights & data deletion
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@dreamware.audio with the subject “Data request” and we will respond within one month (extendable to three for complex requests). To stop us receiving your Instagram messages, you can also delete the conversation or block the account on Instagram. If you are in the EU and believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to the CNIL (France) or your local supervisory authority.
12. Children
Our products and site are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
13. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced on this page.
